Rodney Jordan's The Medgar Evers' Suite

Medgar Evers and his family are not forgotten. Professor Rodney Jordan has made sure of that. His composition may be one of the only Jazz-Based Suites honoring Medgar Evers. Not only is the music honoring Mr. Evers, it honors all the Civil Right workers who we will never know. The policies that were put into law to allow African Americans to be Citizens of America have carved a path to " the pursuit of Happiness. We still celebrate Evers' work and are always aware of his sacrifice. Jordan's composition puts into music the all encompassing feelings that surround the the Movement for Freedom in America. Please know that you will be moved beyond measure at Jordan's work, and his request that the young musicians in Tallahassee present it to the community.
